Yong Chen Ni comes from Gua Musang, Kelantan, then studies in Poi Lam High School, Ipoh, Perak. She obtained her bachelor’s degree of Chinese Studies in University Tunku Abdul Rahman, with a thesis about the Secondary School Chinese Orchestra in Ipoh. She joined the Malaysian Chinese Research Centre in January 2017, as a research assistant of “Malaysian Chin Kang Community and Organization Research Project”. Her plan to pursue a Master’s degree at University of Malaya. She is particularly interested in studies of history, community and culture of Malaysian Chinese.

杨倩妮来自吉兰丹话望生，中学就读于霹雳怡保培南独中，毕业后进入金宝拉曼大学中文系，完成了本科论文“霹雳怡保校园华乐团发展之考察——以圣母玛利亚国民型华乐团为主”。 2017年1月她加入马来亚大学华人研究中心，成为“晋江社群与社团研究计划”的研究助理，同时计划在马来亚大学修读硕士学位。其研究兴趣包括马来西亚华人历史、社群与文化。
