Tan Sok Jin was born in 20 November 1994 in Alor Setar, Kedah. She completed her primary education in SJK(C) Keat Hwa(S), and continued her secondary education in SMJK Keat Hwa. In 2016, she received her Bachelor’s degree in Chinese Studies from Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman(UTAR), Kampar. During that time, her final year thesis examined the relations between Han Dynasty and Huns during the early Hans Dynasty, with the title of “西汉前期匈奴形象与汉匈交流之探讨”.

Tan Sok Jin is currently assisting Dr. Ling Tek Soon in conducting research for a project entitled “Commemorate and Urban Memory in multi culture, multi ethnic and multi religion at Kerayong Road Public Cemeteries”, and employed as research assistant at Malaysian Chinese Research Centre, University of Malaya. She planned to continue her study of Master’s degree in Chinese Studies, University of Malaya. Her academic research interest lies in the field of Malaysia-China Relations and Chinese Association. 
 

陈淑菁于1994年11月20日出生在吉打亚罗士打，并就读于吉华华文小学S校及吉华国民型中学。2016年10月，她以本科毕业论文“西汉前期匈奴形象与汉匈交流之探讨”在拉曼大学（金宝分校）获得中文系荣誉学士学位。

陈淑菁现在的职务是帮助林德顺博士进行机场路义山群研究，并且受聘于马来西亚华人研究中心作为研究助理。她更计划在马来亚大学继续修读硕士学位，而研究兴趣与范围包括马中关系与社团研究。
